Summer is finally coming. it’s the time of year where we are inevitably all the happiest. Tanned skin, windswept and disheveled hair. Then, sipping cocktails on the beach will instantly make us reach our nirvana.
Another beautiful part of summer is going on vacation. Exploring new places with our loved ones is my favorite part of summer.
If it were up to me, I would spend my life with suitcase in hand traveling the world.
I don’t need much of anything but a carry-on will hold all my beach holiday essentials.
Since I’ve decided to follow a minimalist lifestyle, I’ve realized I don’t need as many things.
In this post, I’m going to list all of my beach holiday essentials.

MY BEACH HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS
The great thing about summer is that I could very well live in a pair of flip flops, a little dress, hat and favorite sunscreen.
The great thing then is that we can very well leave for ibiza with a low cost airline simply with hand luggage.
In this post I will show you what are my beach vacation essentials so I hope to be of inspiration for when you have to prepare your suitcase for the vacations.
When I travel by car, I have a tendency to take half of the house with me on vacation because “there is room anyway.”
In fact, last year on my last trip to Sardinia we had everything and more.
This year the destination is Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.
Out of necessity we will have to take a plane, so the kilograms we can carry are limited. Since I am trying to start leading a minimalist lifestyle, I will try my best to carry only the bare essentials.

WHAT IS IN MY LUGGAGE
I’ve noticed that during summer travel, rather than winter travel, I tend to use really few things compared to what I carry with me.
The things of cyrus need in summer are really few (and this in fact is what I love most).
Especially in Fuerteventura, the place where I am going on vacation, a bathing suit, flip-flops and sunscreen is all one needs.
But let’s not mince words and get straight to the point.
- Swimwear
- White Linen Shirt
- Bermuda
- Sunglasses
- Foulard
- Sandals
- Bag
Clearly the first essential thing is a good swimwear. I prefer those that are basic and black in color. This one-piece I selected for you from Mango drives me crazy: simple and chic at the same time. Combined then with a fantastic white linen shirt we will look like Lady D on vacation on her Yacht. Adding also a nice scarf strictly in silk, we will reach the height of elegance. (Besides being a very functional outfit for the beach).
I don’t know about you, but me, without a pair of sunglasses I can’t even stay in town. Let alone at the beach. My latest purchase was this iconic pair i Bottega Veneta. They are a must have that will never go out of style. I assure you!!!
Clearly the most suitable bag is the straw bag. But beware, they are not always practical and long lasting. Try to always choose quality ones because otherwise they get ruined right away. This one from Mango is great and handmade. Unfortunately, just because it is handmade some models turn out not perfect. That’s just the beauty of handmade things.
Ps. If you have very sensitive skin, I don’t recommend applying perfume to go to the beach. However, I did select this one that I really love from Chanel. It smells clean and like the sea. Otherwise, Chanel No. 5 L’Eau is also perfect.
Fun fact: Beige was Coco Chanel’s favorite color.
