Beauty Essentials to Bring To Sicily
This post will cover the beauty essentials to bring to Sicily if you are planning a vacation to this wonderful island.
Sicily is a very dear place to me since it is my grandfather’s land. Going back there awakens many memories. Not to mention great food and a spectacular sea. I will talk about this, however, in other posts.
Here, however, we want to talk about the beauty essentials that you need to bring to Sicily for all of us who are obsessed with skin care and such.
BEAUTY ESSENTIALS TO BRING TO SICILY
We will divide the beauty essentials into skin care and beauty so they are more orderly. On this vacation anyway, I think I brought more beauty products than clothes. But never was the choice right. usually I bring a myriad of clothes but I find myself wearing the same ones all the time. Beauty products, on the other hand, are something fundamental to me and I manage to use them all. Therefore, because I am trying to have a more minimalistic approach, I brought only the essentials.
SKIN CARE
SUNSCREEN & AFTERSUN
I think it’s pretty obvious to tell you to bring sunscreen. The sun in Sicily is very strong so 50+ protection is essential. I brought Biotherm body cream and for the face La Roche Poiser Anthelios spray (fantastic, love it) and Shiseido stick (also one of my must haves) very handy for reapplying sunscreen during the day.
After shower, a good aftersun will be so refreshing. This one from Vichi is amazing.
HYDRATION
At the end of your beach day moisturizing every single corner of your body will be crucial. For my face I use this cream from Biotherm, which has been a wonderful discovery. For the body, on the other hand, Nuxe’s green tea cream. A fantastic and fresh defilement.
Then, must-have thermal water from Avene. I take this everywhere: to the beach to refresh my skin and at home to moisturize. This is a NEVER AGAIN WITHOUT!!!
HAND/FOOT CREAM
I don’t know about you but feet and hands are the parts that suffer the most from rehydration in my body. That is why a good hand cream ( which I also use on my feet ) is never missing in my beauty case.
LIPBALMS
Lips are almost a person’s business card (along with the hands). Dehydrated lips are just ugly to look at. That’s why I always try to invest in good lip balms. My favorites are: Mario Badescu and Nuxe Lip Balms.
FACE AND BODY SCRUB
A couple of times a week I definitely need to do a scrub to get rid of all the dead cells. This one here from Beauty of Jeoseon is great. I love Korean skin care and this is one of those products I bought on YesStyle.
