Small, large, in a jar or in a glass, from sweet to fresh flavors, made of soy wax, bee wax etc, the market offers a tons of alternatives for our beloved scented or non scented candles.

BEST SCENTED CANDLES
And I am personally the one who can spend hours smelling every scent in the Yankee Candle shop.
As you can tell, this is my favorite brand, their scented candles are so intense. I have their jars but also the electric burner that, I have to tell you, is AMAZING. I found that the tarts have an higher concentration of perfume and by only adding half of it in the burner, I can let my entire living room smell amazing!
I usually lit my candles only on “special occasions“, only during moments I find to be special for me. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a special dinner or similar but activities that I do during me time!
WHEN TO LIT A SCENTED CANDLE?
HOT BABBLE BATHS
This is my all time favorite moment to lit a candle. Not only I burn one of mine, but I have got a specific scent dedicated to this favorite moment. Usually is a floral scent. At the moment I’m using White Gardenia. I start burning it approximately 10 minutes before I start my bath, so that in the moment I enter the bathroom to immerse my self in the bubbles the room already smells heavenly.
SPA DAYS WITH SCENTED CANDLES
Maybe you consider the above activity as something grouped in a spa day, but for me is not. Spa day for me is, me in the living room , lights very low, many candles lit, my favorite film on and me treating myself with face masks, pedicure, manicure etc. This is the moment when I usually lit woody scents such as Crackling Wood Fire ( I love my living room to smell woody).

EVENING MOVIES
I adore watching movies or tv shows while I have got a Yankee Candle burning in the room. Especially during winter or the colder evenings, I love sipping on tea or hot chocolate, under a blanket, watching my favorite tv show while smelling on my favorite scent ever: Home Sweet Homefor the winter time and Pink Sands for spring or summer time!
SCENTED CANDLES WHILE WORKING OR BLOGGING
I adore writing my blogposts while sipping on an herbal tea with a candle by my side. It creates the perfect environment for me to relax and be creative. My kind of temple. I have no specific scent destined for this task, It is usually decided last minute based on my feelings in that specific moment.
ON BED SIDE TABLE
I adore to have a relaxing scented candle burning on my bedside table during my night time routine. I usually apply all my night creams in bed with my Fluffy Towel candle on. After applying my creams I read my before bed book. Having no artificial lights or tv on but only my candle helps me relax and be ready for my beauty sleep.
Especially during my off days form work, I love to lit special and expensive candles on my bedside table. They are usually from Jo Malone or Diptyque.
