During this lockdown / self isolation period, I dedicated myself into redecorating my bedroom, decluttering wardrobe or decluttering my life in general. These have been stressful months but, at the same time, I’m very grateful for them because helped me realize what I should be focusing on.
Said that, me and my boyfriend are planning to find and buy our first house. I know it is going to take a long time to find our dream house but I’m trying to save time and taking inspiration to decide how to decorate my future home. Obviously my main source of inspiration is Pinterest. Follow me if you aren’t yet.
I think decorating the house is the most amazing and fun thing to do. I have got so many ideas but I know for sure that the style I want to chose is minimal and my main color palette will be white, grey, cream and gold. I would like my walls to be plain white and what I’m trying to find on Pinterest are inspirations to decorate white walls.
HOW TO DECORATE WHITE WALLS
Today’s blog post is dedicating on How I would decorate my white home walls. I decided to have white walls because in this way I can change furniture or decorations easily. Also, white walls give the illusion to have bigger lighter rooms, and this is what I love the most.

This is my favorite option to decorate a wall. It is incredibly easy job to do. You can play with colors, create a theme and play with different levels. You can give more dimension to your room if you know how to play with levels.
2. ADD SHELVS
Another way to play with levels is adding shelves. In this case, we can play with objects and books to create new levels.
3. CANVAS PRINT
Canvas prints, especially on the headboard of your bed, are the best way to decorate a bedroom. You can play with many small ones creating a theme or to add a pop of color or a larger one, just like the canvas print you see in the picture. I was in love with this print since the time of Gossip Girl. I don’t know if you remember but this print was in Van Der Woodsen’s house. From that day on I fell in love with it and after many years I own it. I found it on this website: PhotoWall, where you can find many canvas prints, frames or wall papers. Also, just strolling around their website (such as their Instagram page) is a good source of inspiration.
I also adore to lean canvas print against the wall rather than just hanging it to add dimension to the wall!

4.WALLPAPER
If you find that white walls are boring, you can play with 3 white walls and one wall decorated with a colorful wallpaper, just like the one you see below. I think this is perfect in kids bedroom, it makes a minimal room feel sophisticated. It seems like you put effort into decorating that room but your only tip is that you chose a good quality wallpaper.
