Peanut-butter

I don’t know about you but I think I have an addiction on peanut butter. Actually, I am quite certain of it. I think I love peanut butter a lot more than Nutella ( many of my friends think I’m crazy for that ). I’m more of a savory person rather than a sweet tooth and maybe that’s why I adore this butter so much. The time of the day I love eating it the most is definitely in the morning. It gives me such an energy to face my entire day in the best way possible. And especially if I don’t eat it at breakfast, my day won’t be the same. My favorite combo for the perfect breakfast ever is peanut butter on toast and american coffee or cappuccino , depending on how I’m feeling.

Super quick breakfast but super satisfying one.

The best peanut butter to buy is definitely the one whose ingredients include only 100% peanuts. It is the healthiest and most delicious version in the world. All other versions are simply junk food full of sugar, salt and vegetable oils. In this case all the beneficial properties of peanut are nullified.

During the pandemic when there was a rush and assault on the supermarkets I found it hard to find 100% peanut butter on the shelves. So I wondered why not make it at home if this consisted simply of one ingredient? And that’s how I started making the best version of home made peanut butter I’ve ever had.

It’s super simple to make and won’t cost you much time or money. Definitely, making it at home will save you a lot of money because nut butters especially organic ones are very expensive.

Let’s not waste time, keep reading to discover my recipe for homemade peanut butter.

Make sure you own a good quality food processor, it will be fundamental for a good result.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups dry-roasted peanuts
  • salt to taste (i don’t personally usually use it because i like it natural even more )

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add the peanuts into a food processor or high-speed blender. Process on medium until a fine peanut meal forms.
  2. Increase the speed to high and process or blend, until the peanuts are smooth and creamy. If peanut butter gets stuck to the bottom of the food processor or blender, you may need to use a spoon or spatula to release it before continuing to process. The longer you process, the runnier the peanut butter will become.
  3. Once the peanut butter has reached the desired consistency, add a pinch of salt and process briefly to incorporate. Taste and continue to add salt until desired saltiness is reached. Pour your peanut butter into a lidded container and store it in the refrigerator.
  4. _______

It’s super easy and fast to do it and the result is AMAZING. It was the first time i made this recipe and i was so glad as i saw very good results. AlSo, since there is no additional oil or salt in it you won’t have any regrets when eating – obviously you can’t eat the entire jar, even if you’d like to – I recommend you to try it because it really worth it and if you are peanut butter lover like me you will enjoy this recipe even more.

Ps. You can follow this recipe also to make any other kind of nut butter. I adore making also almond butter. It is sweeter than the peanut one and it is perfect when you are craving something sweet!

Let me know in the comments below if you’re interested in making it and obviously let me know you results.
