Guide on how to travel with a carry-on bag only. Useful if you stay away just few days or the airline company doesn’t allow to bring baggage.
Traveling with a carry-on bag not only saves you money but also time. You don’t have to wait for the checked bag to be out on the recollection belt at the arrival terminal.
This year has been so strange and the scary part is that it is not over yet. In just 7 months, things happened more than in my entire life – and I can’t even imagine what it is going on next-.
I’m trying to stay and think positive, I know that good moments will arrive soon. Actually , one good thing is coming: I’m going to spend a few days in Sorrento, Positano and Capri. I adore these places, I usually visit them once a year, every summer.

In my opinion, Amalfi cost is the real expression of summer: smelling Sorrento lemons brings me back to summer memories , Positano landscapes are making me falling in love with summer even more and Capri Island makes me realize what incredible places this world owns and I’m even more proud because this world treasure belongs to my country, Italy.
I don’t know about you but days before a departure , I have mixed feelings: happiness, of course, but hidden by strange anxiety feeling due to holidays preparation. It is maybe because I have tons of things to do and prepare (such as packing, waxing, and going to the hair dresser) and I also have to admit that I am someone who does everything last minute so it is definitely my fault -LOL-.
BTW, when I usually go for a few days away, I only bring a carry-on bag, I don’t like to pack too many things because, for my experience , I only wear few things so this year, my new resolution is to try to declutter items and to bring with me only summer holidays essentials.
HOW TO TRAVEL WITH A CARRY-ON BAG ONLY?
Obviously, this refers only to a few days trips but the key to travel with a carry-on bag only is to bring just the essentials. One of my resolutions this year is to try to follow a minimalist life and also it can be applied in beauty and lifestyle.

WHICH SUMMER HOLIDAYS ESSENTIALS TO BRING?
Summer holidays essentials should follow the question: Do I really need it? It seems a stupid question but it really helps. I usually ask my self this when I have to chose which shoes to bring. If it was for me I could bring every kind of shoes I own but I chose only one kind, for example: one sneaker , one sandal and one slipper. That is all!
HOLIDAYS CLOTHES ESSENCIALS
The trick that changed my packing scheme
I pack based on outfits. I prepare in advance one outfit for the day and one for the night for each day. For example if I stay two days I’ll pack 2 day outfits and 2 night outfits.
The trick in this is that I try to recreate different outfits trying to use same pieces.
I also pack a bikini for each day!
You can take inspiration from the You Tuber that I love the most: Valeria Lipovetsky. She creates 23 outfits with only 16 items!
SHOES ESSENTIALS
I always chose very basic shoes. I actually can say that I own only basic shoes except for sneakers that are my passion.
When it comes to traveling I always opt for comfy sneakers a pair of basic sandals and maybe a good pair of black heels, in that way I can pair them with every possible outfit.
MAKE UP ESSENTIALS
I tended to bring with me many make up items because I tended to think that they were necessary but it turned to that I wore only basic make up. So now I’m aware that I only need: one concealer, one mascara, one translucent lose powder, one lipstick and one lipgloss (because I adore wearing lipglosses during summer and I recently fell in love with this one). Then one mascara, eye liner and brow gel THAT IS ALL!
ACCESSORIES
I cannot leave without my beloved Dyson Airwrap, since the first day I tried it my life has completely changed.
Shampoo and conditioner: I usually go for Lush small size of their products, they are amazing and travel friendly.
Then I need a brush and my daily essentials.
From the day I actuated this packing organization I feel less stressed, I pack in less than 20 mins and I’m a 100% sure that I’m not forgetting anything at home!
